Linked.Farm

The short circuit cooperative that offers healthier, fairer and more sustainable food

Linked.farm offers a SAAS (software as a service) service to set up a local Farm2Fork network. The F2F strategy of the European Green Deal aims to make food systems fair, healthy and environmentally friendly.

Since 2015, Linked.Farm has been creating a new ecosystem to make family farms and their small-scale logistics resilient. The software is used in a network of 1,000 producers (farmers and artisans) and 30 hubs, with whom they work cooperatively. Currently, 83 cooperators are part of Linked.Farm. They decide on developments, ensuring that the digital solution serves the short food supply chain and its complex logistics. The platform combines online sales, accounting and offers a transparent marketplace for farmers and eaters. What is developed for one farm is reused for another.

By facilitating Farm2Fork, more producers will make the transition. By offering financial security through fairer prices and more customers, their risk aversion will decrease. They will then be able to invest in more sustainable production methods, product processing materials, less packaging, … depending on customer demands and feedback.

Societal impact

Linked.Farm’s activity contributes to goals 2 “Zero Hunger” (2.3, 2.4), 8 “Decent Work and Economic Growth” (8.3), and 12 “Responsible Consumption and Production” (12.3) of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
